Heliconia Surinam Gold

This is a new Heliconia chartacea variety which has the same growing characteristics as Sexy Pink. The inflorescence however is green & yellow with a tendency to become increasingly yellow with age.Elegant, not yet very common Heliconia that is a healthy grower and not hard to care for.

• Light Preference: Full Sun, Semi-Shade

• Rootzone Tolerance:Moist Soils, Well-Drained Soils

• Water Preference: Moderate Water

• Plant Growth Rate: slow

• Propagation Method: Division

• Fertilizer: Use blue granular fertilizer (නිල් කැට), Yaramila, or any other nitrogen-enriched fertilizer. Apply 5–10 grams per pot for small potted plants every 2–3 weeks, or approximately 100 grams per square meter for plants grown in the ground. It is important to use it in moderation to avoid over-fertilizing.
